Aloha! My name is Morgan Lane-Tanner and I am the jewelry designer behind Lane Tanner Designs based in Honolulu Hawaii. I also work with my fiancé, Josh Astern who is the photographer behind all the photos used to create the jewelry.
I began making paper jewelry in the summer of 2009 during a snowed in vacation to her home town of Portland Oregon. She through experimentation she created a unique form of decoupage jewelry. More recently, I have taken these paper decoupage techniques and applied them to Josh’s photographs, creating a new line of photo jewelry.
It is hard not to be influenced by the natural beauty of Hawaii. The goal of this line was to create Jewelry that celebrates Hawaii’s stunning beauty through images of the hawaiian islands and complementary design. The result are pieces of wearable photographic art. Each wire framed piece is coated in resin making it waterproof, durable and slightly transparent. This translucency allows the sun to shine through making it luminous and bright.
Each piece in this shop is hand made and one of a kind. Nothing can be exactly duplicated, so please keep this in mind when ordering. All the photographs are taken in Hawaii (mostly our home island Oahu) by Josh Astern.
